Frequently Asked Questions

Does this tour include access to the Hidden Beach?

No, this tour DOES NOT include access to the Hidden Beach. We focus on other wonders of the sanctuary such as La Nopalera Beach, the Stone Bridge, and reef snorkeling. If you wish to visit the Hidden Beach, we have a specialized tour with exclusive permits.

What should I bring on the tour?

Bring biodegradable sunscreen (mandatory to protect the reef), a swimsuit, a towel, a change of clothes, a hat, sunglasses, a camera, and cash for gratuities. We provide life jackets, snorkeling gear, and beverages.

Do I need to know how to swim to snorkel?

It is not essential to be an expert swimmer. Everyone wears a life jacket during the tour, which keeps you afloat. Our private guide accompanies you at all times. The waters where we snorkel are relatively calm.

Is it safe for small children?

Absolutely. Being a private tour, you can go at your own pace. We have life jackets of all sizes and captains with over 15 years of experience. It is a perfect family activity.

How long is the entire tour?

The tour lasts 2.5 hours in total, from departure to return to the Punta de Mita Marina. This includes navigation, circumnavigation of the islands, snorkeling, a visit to La Nopalera Beach, and a stop at the Stone Bridge.

Can I cancel my reservation?

Yes, you can cancel up to 24 hours before the tour for a full refund. We understand that plans can change, and we want you to book with complete peace of mind.

No. Unlike other operators who charge it separately upon arrival, we include the CONANP conservation bracelet in our price. What you see is what you pay, with no surprises.

Are there restrooms on the Marietas Islands?

There are no restrooms on the islands, as it is a protected natural area. We recommend using the restrooms at the marina before boarding. The tour lasts 2.5 hours, a manageable time for most people.

When is the best time to visit the islands?

The Marietas Islands can be visited year-round. The best visibility for snorkeling is from November to May. During whale season (December-March), you can also spot them on the way to the islands. Every season has its charm!

What happens if the weather is bad?

Safety is our priority. If sea conditions are unsafe, we offer to reschedule at no cost for another date or provide a full refund. Our captains have over 15 years of experience and know these waters perfectly.
