Who we are
Punta Mita Experience is a local tour operator based at Marina Punta Mita, Nayarit, Mexico, at the northern tip of Banderas Bay, and has been sailing these waters since 2005. It runs boat tours to the Marietas Islands and Hidden Beach, whale watching and snorkeling at Cueva del Guano, as shared departures or on a private boat. Each boat carries up to 13 people, with captains and guides from the region. Tours into Islas Marietas National Park include the CONANP conservation wristbands, and access to Hidden Beach is capped at 116 people per day across all operators. Punta de Mita is the closest departure point to the islands: 9 km (5.6 mi). Tours are offered in Spanish and English and booked online.

We set sail from the Punta Mita Marina with safe vessels, a passionate crew, and a deep knowledge of the tides, reefs, and wildlife that inhabit these spectacular coasts.

Where do the tours depart from?
All tours depart from Marina Punta Mita, in Nayarit. It is the closest departure point to the Marietas Islands: they are 9 km (5.6 mi) away, compared with about 33 km (21 mi) from Puerto Vallarta.
Most of our guests stay in Punta de Mita, Sayulita, Bucerías, Nuevo Vallarta or Puerto Vallarta.
Operating days
- Marietas Islands and Hidden Beach: Tuesday to Sunday. The park is closed on Mondays.
- Snorkeling at Cueva del Guano: every day of the year.
- Whale watching: December 10 to March 22.
