Expedition Logbook

Discover step-by-step how your adventure in the sanctuary will unfold.

Navigation Note: The itinerary may be adapted according to sea conditions and the guidelines of CONANP park rangers, always guaranteeing your safety and the best experience.

01 Departure from Punta Mita Marina
11:00 AM (Arrive 15 mins early)

We welcome you at the departure point closest to the Marietas Islands. Our certified captain and expert guide will welcome you aboard our shaded panga boat. After a safety and equipment briefing, we will begin a short 15-minute navigation to the natural paradise.

02 Circumnavigation and Sighting
Duration: 20-30 minutes

We will navigate around the islands to document their impressive volcanic formations. It is the ideal setting for spotting endemic wildlife, including the iconic blue-footed booby. Your guide will provide context on the ecological importance of this UNESCO reserve.

03 Approach to the Stone Bridge
Duration: 10-15 minutes

Contemplate the geomorphological majesty of the Stone Bridge, a natural arch sculpted by thousands of years of oceanic erosion. An unparalleled photographic opportunity where the contrast of the dark basalt and turquoise waters creates a perfect composition.

04 Immersion and Guided Snorkeling
Duration: 25-35 minutes

Equipped with professional mask and snorkel, we will explore the protected reefs. With optimal visibility, we will swim among dense populations of tropical fish such as angelfish and surgeonfish. Official note: In strict compliance with CONANP regulations, the use of fins is prohibited to preserve the corals.

05 Landing at La Nopalera Beach
Duration: 25-35 minutes

We will descend to a pristine white-sand bay nestled among the island formations. Enjoy free time for coastal reconnaissance, landscape photography, or simply to hydrate and take in the magnitude of the surroundings.

06 Return to Mainland
Duration: 15-20 minutes

Navigation back to Punta Mita. An ideal time to review the captured photographic material, chat about the expedition with our crew, and enjoy the panoramic view of the Riviera Nayarit coastline.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does this tour include access to the Hidden Beach?

No, this expedition focuses on other protected areas of the sanctuary such as La Nopalera Beach and the coral reefs. If your goal is to enter the Hidden Beach, we have a specialized expedition with the corresponding regulatory permits.

What gear should I prepare?

We recommend biodegradable sunscreen (a mandatory requirement by CONANP), a swimsuit, a towel, a change of clothes, sun protection for your head (cap/hat), sunglasses, and photographic equipment. We provide all maritime and snorkeling gear.

Is previous swimming experience required?

It is not strictly necessary to be an advanced swimmer. The use of a life jacket is mandatory at all times, guaranteeing total buoyancy. Our immersion areas are selected for their tranquility, and our guide remains in the water providing continuous support.

Is it an activity suitable for infants?

Absolutely. We have certified life jackets in all sizes and a crew highly trained in family safety protocols. Infants from 0 to 2 years old navigate free of charge.

Does the park tax (Bracelet) involve an additional cost?

Unlike the industry norm, we cover the full amount of the official conservation bracelet in the published rate. We operate with complete pricing transparency.
